Howdy!

Thank you for visiting my mission page! As a recent graduate from Texas A&M University, I am so incredibly excited to be serving as a Full-Time Life Teen Missionary out in Camp Hidden Lake in Dahlonega, Georgia. Although I have never been involved with Life Teen, I've found myself drawn to their desire to reach teens, restore parishes, and reclaim culture. I sincerely believe in the mission that Life Teen has and it is so humbling to be able to serve the youth in this beautifully radical way. However, in order to live out this calling, I need the support of mission partners.

What does that mean?

As Christians, we are all called to share the Gospel at all times; while most people are called to do this as teachers, spouses, store clerks, businessmen, doctors, nurses, etc., some of us are given the special opportunity to carry this out in the front lines as missionaries. For those who are not able to be out "in the front lines," we need you, our mission partners, to help us share the Gospel through prayer and financial support. Mission partners are what support and push us forward with our mission.

Prayer
My primary need from all mission partners is prayer. I cannot emphasize this enough: Prayer is absolutely essential for me, the other missionaries, and all of Life Teen. Through prayer, I eventually found myelf with Life Teen Missions and it will be through prayer, both mine and yours, that my mission will be faithfully carried out. Although not everybody will be able to support me financially, everyone can support me through prayer.

Donation
While prayer is important, missionaries also depend on the financial support of our mission partners to live. All monetary donations are necessary for us to pay for food, housing, gas, and other needs. If you are able to support me financially, I urge you to prayerfully consider doing so. Any amount is acceptable and will be fruitful in this mission. While monthly mission partners are ideal (as it establishes a constant relationship throughout my mission year), all donations are greatly appreciated!

The following chart shows the different amounts monthly mission partners can give. If a person is grayed out, please consider taking that slot.

If this is something that you are interested in, please:

1) Pray for me and my other fellow missionaries
2) Donate (if possible) with one-time/monthly tax-deductible donations online or via mail. If you plan on mailing a check, write "Joel Gotera" on the memo line and mail it out to the following address:

3) Share this page with your friends and family!
