My name is Sean Delaney. I am from Gulf Breeze, Florida.  I have been a full-time Catholic Missionary for the past four years and this year will be my fifth.  I was a missionary with Dirty Vagabond Ministries in Steubenville, OH for two years and I have been a missionary for LifeTeen for a total of three years.

In September 2008 I was accepted into LifeTeen's missionary formation program in Tiger, Ga.  There I became part of a missionary community striving to live a life that brings the words of Acts 2:42 to life.

"They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

My year in formation really set a foundation in my heart to seek, know, trust, and Love the Lord with all my life.  Upon this foundation He formed a heart inside that burns for the youth in the world to know the Lord and the peace that resides in His promise.  And so, for the past four years (with a lot of kicking a screaming along the way) I have answered His call and dedicated my life to serving the Lord on His mission.

This past summer I had the enormous blessing to travel to Europe for three weeks and there, had the fortune to listen to the Gospel being preached in many different languages, again, embodying what St. Pauls speaks about in Romans 12:5.

"So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."

The blessing and opportunity to experience such a thing has re-ignited my heart in a deeper way for this missionary life and the urgent task that lies within.

In September, myself as well as five others will be preparing to be sent out to serve in Haiti beginning in October.  Bishop Dumas, the Bishop of one of the newest Dioceses in Haiti- the Diocese of Anse-a-veau and Miragoane has invited us to live on a base provided for by the diocese; a center of formation.  It will be called “The John Paul II’s Center of the New Evangelization .”  Here we will be living in community serving primarily the youth of Haiti.  We hope to establish LifeTeen in two parishes within walking distance of our base in Madian, Haiti, while sharing the Good News of Love to those who have so much less.

God has called me to be a worker in His vineyard.  He has demanded that I answer this call and ignite this world and His children with the Hope, Truth, Faith, and LIFE and truly resides in His love and works of the Gospel.  But this mandate is not just mine to carry; He has also called you to be a part of this Mission.  And you can be by, first and foremost, your dedication to prayer and secondly your generosity.

I am not able to complete this mission myself; He calls those into community to share as ONE Body.  I need prayers.... Our community needs prayers.  People to promise to constantly be praying for the community and myself.  I also need your financial support.  Your financial support will be providing food, health insurance, and the very basic necessities of living.  Please prayerfully consider joining me on this mission by dedicating yourself to praying and if you are able, by offering financial support.  Praise the Lord and thank you for your YES and your generosity!

Join me and all of LifeTeen on this mission to ignite the Church of today.
