My name is Jessica Lenehan, and I am beginning my third year serving as a Life Teen missionary.
I have been serving as a Life Teen missionary since September 2010 at Covecrest – a retreat center and summer camp in Tiger, Georgia. The past two years on mission have been busy, fun, fruitful, challenging, and above all, incredibly blessed! This year, God has been challenging me to be confident in who He made me to be and in the promises He has made. It makes such a difference to put fears aside and live into His truth and His plan!
"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." - Luke 1:45
God continues to show me the beauty of His love in my life, and the more that I dive into His love, the more I desire to share His love and His truth with others. God has called me to continue serving as a Life Teen missionary this year (from September 2012 to August 2013), but I will be moving! Life Teen will be starting a new mission base: myself and four other missionaries will live in The Woodlands, Texas, and we will serve parishes throughout the Galveston-Houston Archdiocese. Our Houston mission will include four main pillars: parish support, evangelization, discipleship, and community.
I am very excited for this new mission base, and I can’t wait to see all that God has planned to do there this year! I am only one person, and even as a team, there are only five of us. We can only do so much on our own, so I want to invite you to join us on this mission – God’s mission. Together, we can lead many teens closer to Christ!
"Magnify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together." - Psalm 34:4
